MineChock™ Mining Wheel Chocks

MineChock™ Mining Wheel Chocks

Durable, lightweight wheel chocks designed for safety

At National Plastics & Rubber, our MineChocks™ are engineered for toughness and durability, offering a wide range of sizes to suit applications from small site vehicles to the largest mining trucks.

Extensively tested in the most demanding environments, our MineChocks™ are ideal for use in heavy industrial operations and the mining and construction industries.

Designed for heavy-duty performance, MineChocks™ ensure even the largest mine trucks remain securely parked and stationary, helping to promote a safer work environment, prevent vehicle movement, and mitigate against incidents.

MineChock™ is National Plastics & Rubber’s range of heavy-duty wheel chocks, manufactured in Australia from slip-resistant polyurethane and designed to immobilise everything from light site vehicles through to ultra-class haul trucks.

Every chock in the range is a one-piece moulding, with no fasteners, welds or assembled parts to fail. Mining wheel chocks face conditions that break conventional products. Our products are designed to guard against oil and fuel spills, chemical exposure, constant impacts, and operator handling dozens of times per shift. Our range is engineered to deliver high performance in all conditions, supporting your long-term operational needs.

MineChock™ sizes and specifications

The range is sized by tyre diameter rather than by vehicle model, which means one size will typically cover several machines across a mixed fleet. When selecting, work through these factors:

  • Tyre diameter: The primary criterion. The chock must seat flush against the tread at the correct contact height. A chock that is too small will not hold; an oversized chock will not sit correctly against the tread.
  • Vehicle mass: Each size is tested against a maximum laden vehicle weight, ranging from 3 T for Size 1.5LW to 624 T for Sizes 6LW and 7LW.
  • Handling weight: Because these are plastic wheel chocks rather than steel, even the largest in the range weighs 16kg. This matters where operators chock repeatedly across a shift.
  • Storage: Most sizes have a matching tray bracket so the chock is carried on the machine rather than left loose in a cab or tray.

How to choose the right MineChock™ mining wheel chock

Selecting wheel chocks for heavy equipment comes down to four things: the tyre diameter the chock sits against, the vehicle’s laden mass, the surface gradient, and how the chock is stored and carried on the machine.

MineChocks™ are designed to be used in at least two at a time, on low-to-minimal gradients. A site-specific risk assessment should always be completed before use.

Chock with confidence

A wheel chock is the last thing between a parked machine and an uncontrolled roll, which is why every MineChock™ carries a published tyre diameter range and a tested capacity to ensure a lasting hold. Enquire with our team to outfit your fleet and provide specialised parts to support your site’s operations.
